What it is made of, and where that came from

Walnut, Kashmir

Bought as whole logs at the Anantnag auction, air-dried eighteen months in our Bengaluru yard. We can tell you which log your sofa came from.

Wool, Deccan plateau

Undyed and hand-spun in Bidar. It felts slightly in the first year and then stops. That is wool doing what wool does.

Foam, and the honest bit

The foam is imported and petroleum-based, because every plant-based alternative we tested sagged inside two years. We would rather say so than greenwash a cushion.

Why nine weeks?+

Because nothing is made until you order it, and the frame sits in clamps for six days. We could hold stock in three fabrics and ship in a week, but then you would be choosing from three fabrics.

Can I re-upholster it later?+

Yes — the covers unzip and we sell replacement sets for every frame we have ever made. A 2019 Anay can be recovered today in a 2026 fabric.

Do you deliver outside Bengaluru?+

All-India, on our own trucks to eleven cities and by crated freight elsewhere. We assemble in your home and take the packaging away with us.

What if it does not fit through the door?+

Send us the doorway and stairwell measurements before you order and we will tell you honestly. Three frames come apart; the Anay three-seater does not.
