Your roof earns ₹9,400 a month. Ours does.

A 5 kW rooftop system on a Pune bungalow generates about 620 units a month. At current MSEDCL residential slabs that is ₹9,400 you stop paying — for the next 25 years.

Four visits. Forty-one days.

From the first survey to the day your meter starts running backwards. We publish the timeline because everyone else says "4 to 6 weeks" and means eleven.

Day 1 — Survey

A shade analysis on your actual roof, not a satellite guess. You get the generation estimate and the exact panel layout in writing.

Day 9 — Paperwork

We file the MSEDCL net-metering application and the national subsidy claim. You sign twice; we handle the other nine forms.

Day 26 — Install

Two days on site. Mounting structure is hot-dip galvanised and wind-rated to 180 km/h, which matters more in Pune than anyone tells you.

Day 41 — Meter swap

The discom replaces your meter with a bidirectional one. Export credits start the same day. We attend the inspection with you.

The subsidy, in plain numbers

  • ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW
  • ₹18,000 per kW for the third kW
  • Capped at ₹78,000 for systems of 3 kW and above
  • Credited to your bank account, not adjusted off our invoice — you see the money

We have filed 610 of these. The median time from commissioning to money-in-account is 47 days.

“Three quotes said 6 weeks. Sollum said 41 days and did it in 38, including the meter swap. First full month the bill was ₹214 instead of ₹9,800.”

Straight answers

What happens in monsoon?+

Generation drops roughly 45% across June–September. The annual maths already accounts for it — a Pune system produces about 1,480 units per kW per year, monsoon included.

Does it work in a power cut?+

Not by default. A grid-tied system shuts off for lineman safety. Adding a 5 kWh battery costs about ₹2.4 lakh and we will tell you honestly whether your outage frequency justifies it.

Will it damage my roof?+

Ballasted mounts on RCC, no drilling into the slab. On sheet roofs we use clamp mounts. We carry ₹50 lakh third-party liability and have never claimed on it.

What about cleaning?+

Twice a year, water only. We include four years of cleaning visits. Dust in Pune costs you about 6% of generation if you skip it entirely.

Can I take it with me if I sell?+

Physically yes, financially no — a commissioned system typically adds more to the sale price than the removal and reinstall costs. We have done four removals in six years.
