Send your first email campaign

Five steps, no code, around five minutes from sign-in to inbox. Sign in to app.brixus365.com, open Spark, and follow the campaign wizard — pick a template, pick your recipients, pick a send time, click Send.

Before you start

You’ll need three things in place before the wizard will let you send. Most of this is one-time setup — once it’s done, every future campaign skips straight to the fun part.

What you needWhere it lives
A verified sender — a domain you own with a default sending address. Before you send walks through domain verification.
At least one recipient — uploaded via CSV or added manually.Add recipients walks through the CSV upload, manual entry, and groups.
A template — either a starter template you customise or one you build from scratch.Spark → Templates. The wizard lets you pick one inline if you haven’t pre-built any.

Just signed up? The free plan includes 9,000 emails a month, the full Spark dashboard, and one custom domain — enough to run real campaigns end-to-end before you spend a rupee.

1. Open Spark and start a new campaign

Sign in to app.brixus365.com, click Spark in the left nav, then Campaigns, then the New Campaign button in the top-right. The wizard opens with a six-step indicator across the top.

Give the campaign a name your future self will recognise on the campaigns list — Spring Sale 2026 beats Untitled campaign 7. Click Next to move to the template step.

2. Pick a template

Pick a starter template, paste in HTML you’ve already designed, or build something new in the visual editor. For your first send, the starter library is the fastest path — eight ready-made designs covering announcements, product launches, sales, and newsletters.

Once you pick one, the right-hand pane shows a live preview. The visual editor button opens a drag-and-drop builder if you want to change copy, swap images, or replace the call-to-action. Personalisation tokens like {{ first_name }} resolve per-recipient at send time.

3. Pick recipients

Three ways to pick who receives this campaign:

  • A saved group — any recipient group you’ve previously built (e.g. Newsletter subscribers, Customers in India).
  • An on-the-fly upload — drop a CSV in this step and Spark imports the contacts as a one-off recipient list.
  • Manual add — type or paste a few addresses for a quick test send.

Whatever you pick, the wizard shows the contact count so you know exactly how many emails this campaign will send.

4. Pick a send time

The wizard has a quiet step in the middle called Validation — Spark scans the recipient list for invalid addresses and known bounces, and tells you if anything looks off. It’s automatic; just click Next to continue. Then you reach the schedule step.

When should this campaign be sent?

Send it manually whenever you’re ready, or pick a specific date and time.

Save as Ready
Hit Send manually from the campaign report when you’re ready.
🗓
Schedule for Later
Pick a specific date and time — Spark sends it for you.

If you pick Schedule for Later, the campaign moves to scheduled and Spark queues it for the time you set. If you pick Save as Ready, the campaign moves to ready and waits — indefinitely — until you click Send Now on the campaign detail page.

5. Review and send

The final step shows everything you’ve configured — template, recipient count, send time, sender address — on a single panel. A green tick confirms each section is complete; if anything’s missing, that section flags red and the Send button stays disabled until it’s fixed.

Two buttons matter here:

  • Send Test — fires one email to an address you specify (yours, usually). Use it to spot typos, broken links, or formatting issues before the real send. Test sends don’t count against your recipient list.
  • Send Now — kicks off the real campaign. The page redirects to the campaign report and the lifecycle moves into processingsendingsent.

What happens after you click Send

Once the campaign is dispatched, the report page is where you’ll spend the next few minutes (and the next few days) watching it land:

  • Right after Send. Counters tick up live — Sent, Delivered, Bounced, Failed.
  • Within minutes. Open Rate and Click Rate start filling in as recipients open the email and tap the calls-to-action.
  • Hours and days later. Engagement keeps trickling in. Most opens happen in the first 24 hours; clicks tail off over a week.

For the full breakdown of every state your campaign can be in — and what to do at each one — see Campaign statuses. For per-recipient analytics (who opened, who clicked, who bounced), drill into the campaign report’s Recipients tab.
